Wag Hotels: Its all gone to the dogs, and with luxury at that!

Fido and Fluffy just found THE posh hangout for boarding and doggie day care.

I've posted about how much we enjoy our vacation get-aways to dog friendly Carmel, California and Doris Day's wonderful Cypress Inn.  So many wonderful memories created each visit!

The latest addition to pooch pampering in Northern California?  Wag Hotels, the luxury companion pet hotels.  Where four paws meets pampering and panache.

Wag's newest location recently opened in Oakland, California, in a former warehouse near Jack London Square.  Warehouse no more, this posh location includes 140 rooms ranging from $50 to $150 a night.  Need a bit of extra pampering for your four legged best friend?  How about a doggie-safe ice cream sundae with cookie crumbs, or perhaps a spa grooming visit including a fur mask treatment?

And a play area with a bacon flavored edible bubble machine?  Sweet!

Want to put a smile on your face?  Check out their play area webcams, available to the public daily from 10 AM - 6 PM.

Just another reason to live in the San Francisco Bay area.  And by the way, cats are welcomed at Wag Hotels, too!

"Woof!  Woof!"

  1. Does Wags ban certain breeds of dogs?

    1. I reviewed their website before I posted. Unlike some boarding and doggie day care facilities, Wag Hotels does NOT ban dogs simply due to breed. They also accept dogs that are intact, and dogs that are not dog friendly or who may be skittish around other dogs. These dogs are not placed in play groups, but rather receive 3 walks daily with a staff member. There is an extra charge for this service.

I recommend contacting Wag Hotels with specific questions. Sounds like they are very accommodating to specific pet needs.
